We care about the quality Cleaning standards of our staff.
This means not just how clean your premises are when they leave your job but also their professional appearance. So our cleaning staff induction process includes
- Requirement to be smartly dressed at all times
- Requirement to wear the uniform and identity badge whenever they are on duty at your premises.
- Uniforms to be always clean and tidy
- Smiling and right attitude with everyone that they contact or meet
The above is of course in addition to use of quality cleaning equipment and quality cleaning products.
Cleaning Equipment and Quality Cleaning Products.
British Institute of Cleaning Science
No member of our cleaning staff will be allowed to operate any electrical cleaning equipment without appropriate training. This includes use of our vacuum cleaners as well as electric buffers, washer scrubber dryers etc.
In the same way all our Office Cleaning Staff are shown how to use all cleaning chemicals before being allowed to use them. This is done as part of the initial induction training but is also continuous as we introduce better cleaning materials or methods.
We clean using approved systems and procedures laid down by the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc).
In case you don’t know them BICSc is an independent body with members in all areas of the cleaning industry, including local authorities, contract cleaners, educational establishments, manufacturers, suppliers, trainers and cleaning operatives themselves. Membership currently stands at over 5,000 Individual and Corporate Members.
The Institute’s Committees set the standards and develop the skills programmes necessary for the Institute’s range of workplace-based certified assessment schemes for cleaning operators, food premises, cleaning supervisors, healthcare, sanitary cleaning and car valeting.
This includes use of full colour coding of equipment to prevent cross contamination of areas. Do you really want your kitchen/canteen areas cleaned with the same mop that was just used to clean your toilets? See these link for a fuller understanding of cleaning standards and colour coding cleaning systems.
Monitoring of our quality cleaning standards
It is no good showing someone the quality standards we want if we don’t monitor them as well, is it? We have guaranteed that you as a customer will get a high standard of cleaning so we need to ensure you do! Every job we undertake is visited on a regular basis by either our Cleaning Area Manager responsible for the contract or a fully trained Quality Cleaning Supervisor. (On larger jobs we may also have a on-site cleaning supervisor.)
